The United Way of Grundy County is a non-profit organization, dedicated to doing what matters™ in our community.

This year, the United Way of Grundy County invested more than $350,000 in our community. We focus our efforts on five impact areas including:

  • Fulfilling Urgent and Basic Human Needs
  • Improving Financial Stability
  • Helping Youth Succeed
  • Increasing Independence and Self Sufficiency
  • Promoting Individual and Family Health and Wellness

Community Investment News

The United Way is proud to announce the employees at First Midwest Bank in Morris have successful

raised $4,430.00 from employee payroll deductions and several different events including a bake sale.

Combined with a generous gift from First Midwest Bank they raised $6,930.00. The bank employees our

committed to making a difference in the lives of Grundy County residents, this is evident because this years

employee campaign is up 50 percent from last year.Congratulations First Midwest Bank!First Midwest Bank

was also a recipient of United Way's Pacesetter Award for 2007. The United Way of Grundy County is dedicated

to uniting people and resources in a community wide effort to change lives.This years campaign theme is

"Your change changing lives",with community support like First Midwest Banks this goes a long way in achieving our $397,000 campaign goal.

 

Rezin Orthopedics and Sports Medicine donates proceeds of annual Orthopedic Open to United Way of Grundy County-September 2007.

Lyondell Chemical Company in conjunction with The Gleeners, Grundy County Extension 4-H( United Way Partner Agency)and Eagle Scouts( United Way Partner Agency)completed a Global Earth Day at the Grundy County Housing Authority on May 5, 2007. We believe in the value of supporting agencies such as Illinois Valley Industries that provide vital programs

and services such as Developmental Training, Organizational Employment, Competitive Employment, and Community

Living Services to adults in our community with disabilities.The United Way is focused on the bottom line results:

the lives we change and the communities we shape.

Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Will and Grundy Counties" Art Buddies" unveiling-May 15, 2007- Shbbona Middle School.
